About the role
The position of the Account Manager is responsible for developing new business relationships and serving as the first level of support to existing clients. The role involves fostering and closing new clients through various strategies, expanding current relationships, negotiating rates and deadlines, educating clients on the translation process, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Develop prospective clients through internet research, trade show lists, referrals, professional directories, and personal investigation.
- Foster and close new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other means (trade shows, regional organizations, etc.).
- Grow new business from existing clients by working closely with senior leadership to expand current relationships and upsell the TransPerfect portfolio.
- Creatively problem-solve to improve new business development strategies.
- Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients.
- Provide education to prospective and existing clients regarding the translation process, including TransPerfect’s rates, turnaround times, and competitor information.
- Liaise with production to ensure all jobs are handled appropriately and with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in a perfect product.
- Consistently follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality, and customer service.
- Understand all industries TransPerfect markets to, including industry leaders, current events, and any other pertinent data.
- Perform other special projects or duties as required.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications
- Experience in sales or account management preferred.
- Knowledge of translation and localization industry practices.
