Account Manager
About the role
Øuterkind is a creative marketing and advertising agency based in Denver, CO. We’re seeking an experienced Account Manager to support a multi-dimensional activation plan for key experiential clients. This role will focus on applying a creative consumer journey and strategic approach, along with measurement and content aggregation/management. You’ll work closely with the Account Supervisor and Director on all client communications, bringing at least 3-5 years of account management experience, ideally in the experiential space.
We’re looking for a hustler with an innate passion for experiences who thrives in a team environment. Flexibility and the ability to multitask efficiently are key, as client deliverables will vary by project.
Responsibilities
- Develop a full understanding of the client’s business model and investment outcomes.
- Implement a comprehensive experiential strategy based on the client’s marketing and business objectives.
- Support the client relationship by creating actionable activation and strategic plans for programs.
- Execute a measurement plan for experiential programs, report on ROI and KPIs, and deliver results monthly.
- Collaborate with creative, strategy, and finance teams to ensure brand consistency and effectiveness.
- Activate key sponsorship relationships to deliver value to the client.
- Participate in creating engagement timelines and program workbacks.
- Attend all event activations to ensure objectives are met.
- Support communications with multiple client teams to meet departmental goals.
- Assist agency leadership with budget stewardship and day-to-day management.
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Attend and support all client meetings.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in an account manager role at an advertising or marketing agency.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successful client activations.
- Experience with project management software and supporting account leadership.
- Strong understanding and passion for the experiential industry (ideal).
- Solid grasp of culture, current trends in the outdoors, and power sports.
- Live event experience producing elements such as giveaways, demos, show formats, and scripts.
- Ability to work well independently and in small or large groups.
- Willingness to travel, often with little notice (up to 30% of the time).
- Proficiency in standard business applications (PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work remotely across multiple time zones to meet client and stakeholder needs.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
Working Conditions
- Currently remote but may include office time and travel to the Øuterkind office in Denver, CO.
- Travel for up to 30% of the time is expected.
