About the role
As an Account Manager at Omnicom Health Medical Communications, you will lead projects from start to finish, managing timelines, finances, and client relationships. You will collaborate closely with interdepartmental teams and work independently with clients.
Responsibilities
- Execute projects autonomously, managing internal processes and interdepartmental teams
- Drive your own and others' agendas, keeping deadlines and priorities
- Partner with clients more independently, leading meetings focused on project status and completion
- Oversee Workfront and other content management databases, providing expert oversight
- Work with the Client Finance Director to maintain accurate account financials and develop budgets, SOWs, and estimates
- Provide expert guidance to junior account managers and facilitate their training
- Contribute to business planning sessions and prepare for new business pitches
Requirements
- Education: Degree in life science, liberal arts, marketing, or communications, with a strong appreciation for medical communications and scientific storytelling
- Experience: 2 years of experience in account/project management in an agency setting, preferably in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing
- Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office, excellent written and oral communication, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and within a team, solution-oriented, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading client calls
- Other: Willingness and ability to travel for programs if requested, up to 10%
