Job OverviewThe Account Manager (AM) owns execution of customer programs across the full quote-to-cash lifecycle for assigned accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact and customer advocate while driving internal coordination to ensure on-time delivery, margin performance, and overall program success. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role within a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. The Account Manager operates with a high level of ownership and accountability, partnering closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Sourcing, Accounting, and Customer Experience to successfully execute both new and existing programs. Success in this role requires direct involvement in customer communication, production coordination, scheduling, and order execution What You'll Do:Customer OwnershipServe as the primary point of contact and advocate for assigned customer accountsBuild and maintain strong, long-term customer relationshipsLead customer communications including meetings, calls, and periodic site visits Program & Order Execution Own execution of customer accounts through the full quote-to-cash lifecycle, from initial quotation through shipment and cash collectionSupport onboarding of new customers and new programs, ensuring successful launch and internal alignmentProvide proactive order status updates, delivery schedules, and open order reporting to customersDrive on-time delivery performance across assigned accounts Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Accounting, and Customer Experience to meet customer requirementsCoordinate manufacturability, feasibility, and delivery commitments with internal teamsDrive accountability and clear communication across cross-functional stakeholders Commercial & Pricing Management Manage RFQs, re-quotes, and ongoing pricing activitiesCoordinate material costs, labor inputs, and pricing updates with internal teamsSupport margin performance through effective pricing and cost awareness Planning & Forecasting Manage customer forecasts, blanket orders, and Kanban programsCoordinate material pipelines and demand changes with Supply Chain and Production teamsSupport alignment between customer demand and internal production planning Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement Proactively identify and resolve delivery, quality, or supply chain issues impacting customer commitmentsManage customer escalations and drive timely resolutionTrack quote outcomes, including closed-lost business, and provide feedback to support continuous improvement Systems & Reporting Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track orders, forecasts, and account performanceProvide customer forecasts and sales-related reporting to Sales LeadershipMaintain accurate documentation of customer requirements and program detailsAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as required to support business needs Must-Have Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required2+ years of experience in account management, program management, or related roles within a direct manufacturing / production environmentExperience managing customer orders, delivery schedules, forecasts, and open order reportingExperience coordinating cross-functionally with production, planning, purchasing, engineering, or supply chain teamsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining strong attention to detailExperience handling delivery expedites, schedule changes, or supply chain-related issuesExposure to quoting, RFQs, pricing coordination, or cost-related discussionsWorking knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing workflowsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint Bonus Points If You HaveExperience in contract manufacturing, cable/harness assembly, electromechanical assembly, or molding environmentsAerospace & Defense industry experienceExperience supporting high-mix / low-volume manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with Kanban programs, blanket orders, or customer forecasting processes We are committed to a high-performance culture of ownership, responsibility, and accountability, which will lead to breakthrough results in service for our customers and highly motivated employees.
