Account Manager

Responsibilities
- Manage the Deli, Fresherized, and Private Label Sports Nutrition portfolio of products with Meijer, with direct accountability for approximately 3MM LBS and $16MM Net Sales on an annual basis.
- Develop, implement, and execute sales and distribution plans at the account level, across multiple markets.
- Collaborate with the Customer Business Manager and Sales Strategy counterparts to develop annual Sales plans aligned with operating units.
- Identify threats and opportunities in the categories that could affect sales volume, market share, trade efficiencies, and profitability; communicate findings to the Customer Business Manager.
- Align DSMPs (distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing) established by the business unit to meet execution objectives.
- Interpret information from Strategy teams regarding category sales, brand sales, share growth, and promotional efficiency; provide insights and recommendations on tactics to drive sales for Hormel brands.
- Leverage business analytics and Category Management to develop and deliver insights-driven presentations to support brand initiatives.
- Participate in learning and development workshops to enhance competencies, including training on selling techniques, customer knowledge, and business practices.
- Conduct routine discussions with customers to review trade practices, recommend mutually beneficial tactics, and deliver profitable sales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of sales, marketing, or analytics experience.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply business analytics.
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and initiative-taking skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment on complex projects.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take opportunities from conception to execution.
- Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship (now or in the future).
Preferred: 2+ years of sales, marketing, or analytics experience, including direct experience with Meijer.
Pay
The base hiring pay range for this role is between $79,350 - $111,100 per year. Actual base pay will depend on job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.

Schedule
Travel required: 10% of the time.
