This role is part of Patterson Flynn, our bespoke floorcovering boutique specializing in one-of-a-kind rugs and carpets that exude luxury and fine design. You will be based in the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles (West Hollywood), with a sales territory encompassing greater Los Angeles, Long Beach, the Valley, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and surrounding areas. The role is primarily showroom-based but may require occasional local travel for client meetings.
About the Role
The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the client experience at Patterson Flynn, overseeing projects from initial concept to final installation. This position ensures a seamless and exceptional journey for clients, guiding them through each phase with expertise and care while managing projects efficiently to deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities
Generate Business Through Relationship Building & Brand Awareness
- Proactively generate sales and elevate the Patterson Flynn brand through strategic relationship building and targeted outreach.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with interior designers, both new and existing, by understanding their unique needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Conduct thorough territory analysis to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities for existing and potential new accounts.
- Develop and execute a robust sales strategy using client outreach, sales techniques, cross-selling, and sales reports to achieve and surpass sales goals.
- Collaborate with Schumacher Account Executives to maximize existing relationships and drive increased territory sales through joint efforts, lead sharing, and cross-brand initiatives.
- Keep clients informed on the latest products and offerings through targeted outreach.
Manage Projects
- Serve as a knowledgeable consultant, guiding clients through product selection, customization options, and design integration.
- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines are adhered to and client expectations are exceeded.
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge of Patterson Flynn collections to advise clients on the best solutions for their needs.
- Collaborate with clients to develop bespoke solutions that reflect their vision and align with aesthetic and functional requirements.
Enhance Client Experience
- Oversee the entire ordering process, from placement to follow-up, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and high customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
- Partner with clients throughout their journey to identify and address their needs, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Uphold Patterson Flynn’s mission by providing superior customer service and maintaining the highest quality standards in the luxury market.
- Assist in day-to-day showroom operations, including client interactions, maintaining an organized space, and managing product and material inventory.

Salary range: $65,000—$70,000 USD
