About the role
You will serve as the primary point of contact for multifamily property owners, management companies, developers, and contractors participating in a utility-sponsored energy efficiency rebate program across Western Washington. This role is responsible for identifying energy-saving opportunities, promoting available rebates and incentives, managing project pipelines, and supporting customers through the successful implementation of energy efficiency projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of multifamily customer accounts while identifying and developing new program opportunities.
- Serve as the local program representative and primary point of contact for customers and trade allies across the service territory, from Blaine down to Olympia.
- Drive program participation and customer engagement through proactive outreach, relationship building, and education.
- Develop and deliver customer proposals and recommendations that support energy savings and program objectives.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of energy efficiency projects to achieve participation and energy savings goals.
- Set your own routes and calendar for day-to-day customer visits and contractor engagement.
Requirements
- Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and contractors.
- Consistently meet or exceed participation and energy savings goals.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support.
- Effectively manage complex projects from inception through completion.
- Promote energy efficiency solutions that provide lasting value for customers and utility partners.
- Bring experience with multifamily properties, construction, or retrofit work such as heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, insulation, or weatherization.
- Have some exposure to or comfort with a sales-oriented approach; prior sales experience is a plus but not required.
- People management experience is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED Green Associate, or BPI certification.
- Have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout Western Washington for customer meetings, site visits, and contractor engagement. Overnight travel is rare, typically no more than once a month or every other month.
- 5–8 years relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant industry experience may substitute for formal education.

Pay
$90,000 per year
Compensation range: $88,500.00 – $112,900.00 USD
