About the role
The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, driving new business development, and ensuring top-tier service delivery. Responsibilities include account management and customer retention, sales growth and business development, and technical expertise and service coordination.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing technical expertise and responsive service.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, service reports, and sales activities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Develop and deliver proposals, quotes, and presentations for new and existing clients.
- Achieve sales targets by promoting and upselling water treatment solutions, including those for cooling towers, boilers, and other various water treatment systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for industrial water treatment systems.
- Direct and coordinate service technicians to ensure timely, effective service delivery.
- Perform water analysis, interpret data, and recommend solutions to enhance system performance and compliance.
- Deliver on-site training to client staff on proper system operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial water treatment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client management and team coordination.
- Ability to interpret water analysis data and recommend effective solutions.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple accounts and service teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for education).
- 5+ years of experience in industrial water treatment, focusing on cooling towers, boilers, and related systems.
- Proven track record in account management and sales growth within the industrial or chemical sectors.
