About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on, physically active Account Manager to build relationships with catalytic-converter suppliers, secure competitive pricing, and drive growth through in-the-field engagement.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular in-person visits and attentive service.
- Identify new supplier opportunities and assess their operations on-site to secure competitive purchasing.
- Inspect catalytic converters for quality and compliance; perform daily physical tasks such as lifting, loading, and transporting converters.
- Stay current on market trends and pricing shifts to guide smart buying and negotiations.
- Negotiate directly with suppliers and prepare accurate, timely bids based on field insights.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to keep purchasing, processing, and shipping running smoothly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in account management, business development, or sales, ideally in metal recycling or automotive.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market and pricing data.
- Proactive problem-solver with good judgment for handling supplier issues.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and basic data analysis.
- Self-motivated and results-driven; knowledge of catalytic converters or related regulations is a plus.
