About the role
At Airgas, we are seeking a high-potential Account Manager to lead our Mid South territory. This is a role for a strategic, high-motor professional who wants to own a region and deliver value far beyond a commodity price point.
Responsibilities
- Aggressively expand our footprint by converting competitive accounts.
- Showcase our total value proposition—focusing on our safety record and technical superiority—rather than competing on price alone.
- Be the lead advocate for your customers, understanding their unique KPIs and buying motives to ensure long-term retention and margin health.
- Lean on our dedicated Customer Service Representatives to handle order processing and logistics, and our Engineering and Field Service teams to provide technical support and on-site expertise.
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships across departments to succeed in a remote, work-from-home position.
- Generate detailed business plans and SWOT analyses, maintaining a 3-year strategic vision for the Gulf Coast.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years B2B sales, technical/industrial selling & value based selling experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.); technical disciplines are a plus.
- Experience with complex contracts and index/formula-based pricing is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (car and some air) to dominate the Mid South market.
- Candidates should ideally reside in Birmingham, Mobile, Jackson, Biloxi, Nashville, Memphis, or Little Rock.

Pay
Base pay commission. Details vary based on experience and performance.
Schedule
Monday thru Friday, daytime hours. 50% travel required.
