Account Executive, SMB Team Sales - Richmond, VA
About the Role
This Account Executive, SMB Team Sales role is designed for ambitious, results-driven sales professionals who are passionate about building stellar customer relationships and bringing T-Mobile's unmatched products and services to underserved markets. It is a true hunter role focused on meeting and exceeding monthly sales quota objectives by acquiring new accounts with small and medium-sized businesses (1-299 employees). You will develop skills to advance your career while selling T-Mobile’s products, services, and solutions through prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and generating leads and referrals.
Responsibilities
- Generate and work leads through prospecting, cold calling, and networking under sales manager supervision.
- Identify customer needs and use solution-based selling to demonstrate T-Mobile’s value; recommend wireless solutions including price plans, data services, handsets, and accessories.
- Negotiate and close deals.
- Develop skills in prospecting, call execution, and relationship management with leadership; participate in product training and sales meetings.
- Create effective sales approaches, solutions, and proposals.
- Maintain and grow the customer base within a territory model.
- Use sales force automation tools, manage the sales funnel, and report on sales activities and forecasts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
- 1+ years of verifiable new customer acquisition sales experience, preferably within a commissioned environment (Preferred).
- Outside B2B sales experience (Preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License (Required).
- At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Travel is required for this role.

- Cold Calling: Ability to cold call or door knock (Preferred).
- Prospect Management: Experience identifying, nurturing, and guiding potential leads through the sales journey (Preferred).
- CRM: Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce (Preferred).
- Proposal Writing: Experience preparing, delivering, and following up on product/service proposals and pricing quotations (Preferred).
Pay
Total Target Cash Pay Range: $71,700 - $129,500, inclusive of target incentives. Base Pay Range: $43,020 - $77,700. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on work location, qualifications, and experience. Employees in regular, non-temporary Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
