About the role

United Bags is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Account Executive based in the Nashville, Tennessee market to expand our presence and grow customer relationships throughout Middle Tennessee and surrounding Southeast territories.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers throughout the Greater Nashville metropolitan area and surrounding territories
  • Possess proven ability to build long-term customer relationships and generate new business
  • Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry associations, and local business relationships
  • Assess customer needs and recommend tailored packaging solutions
  • Collaborate with inside sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure exceptional customer service and fulfillment
  • Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, pipeline, and sales data within CRM systems
  • Stay informed on product offerings, market trends, and competitive activity within the Nashville marketplace
  • Represent United Bags at customer meetings, facility visits, trade events, and industry functions throughout the region
  • Provide regular territory updates and sales reports to company leadership

Qualifications

  • College coursework or degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of outside sales, B2B sales, account management, or territory development experience
  • Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships and generate new business
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a territory independently
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the Greater Nashville region
  • Industrial, packaging, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, transportation, construction, or distribution sales experience preferred
  • Consultative or solution-based selling experience preferred
  • Established business relationships within the Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin, Hendersonville, and Middle Tennessee markets
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems
