About the role
LONG is a leader in building heating and cooling systems with an established presence in the market. This position involves developing and executing strategies to capitalize on sales opportunities within an assigned territory or with assigned customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand an assigned territory or group of accounts, including building owners, end-users, and property managers.
- Develop and execute strategies to capitalize on all sales opportunities within your territory or with your assigned customers.
- Follow LONG’s training and guidelines regarding sales systems and philosophies.
- Conduct cold calls both by phone and in person at prospect locations.
- Effectively assess customer needs and create tailored sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and other internal and external teams to close sales.
- Ensure successful project completion by following up on sold work and facilitating a smooth transition from sales to operations.
- Address customer satisfaction concerns and assist with collections as needed.
- Provide assistance to current and potential customers regarding product and service inquiries, recommending appropriate solutions.
- Use sales software to track sales activities, forecast reports, and monitor expenses.
- Engage in civic and professional organizations, attend sales meetings, workshops, and seminars, and continuously improve product knowledge and selling, technical, and financial skills.
- Stay up to date with market trends, business developments, and product innovations.
- Adhere to all LONG safety standards.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales-related work experience.
- Moderate related technical and financial expertise.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
- Understanding of HVAC, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
- Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and computer skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including upper management.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of accountability and willingness to take responsibility.
- Attention to detail.
