About the role
We are seeking a high-impact Account Director to accelerate new logo growth across the North American utilities market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on opening doors, shaping complex deals, and building long-term strategic relationships in the evolving energy landscape.
Responsibilities
- Own new logo acquisition across Houston and adjacent energy markets, building a strong, self-generated pipeline.
- Drive full-cycle enterprise sales, from prospecting and discovery through to deal closure and contract negotiation.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans in partnership with Customer Success and Marketing to unlock expansion and cross-sell opportunities.
- Engage at all levels—from end users to C-suite stakeholders—using a consultative, value-led approach.
- Translate market complexity into opportunity, connecting regional dynamics with broader U.S. energy trends.
- Leverage modern sales tools (Salesforce, CPQ, HubSpot, ZoomInfo) to manage pipeline, forecasting, and execution with discipline.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and solution teams to deliver compelling product demonstrations and tailored solutions.
- Continuously build market intelligence, identifying emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and new growth segments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise SaaS or strategic solution sales, ideally within energy, utilities, or complex technology environments.
- Proven track record of winning new business and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- Deep expertise in the Texas energy market, including ERCOT structures, stakeholders, and commercial dynamics.
- Strong understanding of power markets, regulatory frameworks, and industry transformation trends.
- Demonstrated ability to sell complex, high-value platforms through a consultative, insight-driven approach.
- Experience navigating multi-stakeholder enterprise deals and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Proficiency with Salesforce (including CPQ) and modern sales enablement tools.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently while contributing to a high-performing team.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
