Account Director
About the role
We are seeking experienced leaders to support a large-scale, multi-sourced technology services program for a major public-sector customer. This effort involves close coordination with enterprise partners, integration teams, and specialized service providers across a complex, statewide IT environment. The Account Director will serve as the single point of accountability for the contract services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the effort to integrate Sawdey’s team culture across the contract.
- Drive the formation of an integrated, collaborative, and mutually supportive team.
- Maintain executive sponsorship and escalation paths within the organization to resolve issues that cannot be closed at the operational level.
- Hold day-to-day responsibility for customer satisfaction, including timely review of feedback, end-user feedback, and implementation of customer-approved action plans.
- Own remediation when service level shortfalls, repeat incidents, or systemic issues are identified.
- Review all critical deliverables and major reports submitted to the customer and ensure they are submitted on time, complete, and free of identified material issues.
- Act on behalf of Sawdey in all day-to-day matters pertaining to the agreement.
- Champion the incorporation of industry-leading practices and Sawdey best practices in the construction, operation, and continuous refinement of the services.
- Responsible for service delivery, billing, and relationship management.
- Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and attainment of all Service Levels.
- May represent Sawdey in governance forums, executive reviews, and joint operating reviews.
Requirements
- Ten (10) years’ progressive experience leading managed-services or other similar engagements.
- Five (5) years in an account-leadership role with single point of accountability.
- Demonstrated experience managing senior executive relationships in a regulated public-sector or comparably complex environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline is desired, but not required.
- Certified Scrum Professional (CSPO)
- Certified Service Delivery Manager (CSDM)
- Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
- Project Management Institute Program Management Professional (PgMP)
Skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be able to travel an estimated 25% of the time, with up to an estimated 50% of the time during the first year.

Schedule
Telework/Work-from-Home Authorized: Yes, with semi-regular travel throughout the state of Texas projected.
Security Clearance Requirements
Please note: The required Background Check must adhere to the policies and standards established by the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Advisory Policy Board (APB). This includes, but is not limited to:
- Fingerprint-based criminal history check (federal and state) to verify identity and criminal records.
- Thorough background investigation of criminal, financial, and personal history, sometimes with reference and employer interviews.
- Security awareness training on CJIS security policy, data handling, and incident reporting.
- Ongoing compliance and periodic re-screening to maintain background check.

This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
