What You'd Actually Do
- Own day-to-day client communication across the full portfolio
- Draft, organize, and manage SOWs from first draft through countersigned close
- Run weekly client check-ins and keep clients clear on where their project stands
- Manage scope and timelines across active engagements; coordinate with developers and track milestones
- Spot expansion opportunities and help scope the next phase
- Sit in on strategic conversations with enterprise clients, PE firms, and portfolio companies
Requirements
- 6–10 years in agency account management, client operations, or a comparable role with real ownership over client relationships — including mid-market and enterprise clients who have high expectations
- Deeply organized in the best sense: calendars, checklists, follow-ups, and clean inboxes give you a small dopamine hit, and you catch the things other people drop
- Write well under pressure. Client emails are clear, warm, and never make a problem worse
- Comfortable with technical concepts even if you don't code — can read a Linear ticket, understand what it means, and explain it back to a client in plain English
- AI-native: use Claude, ChatGPT, or comparable tools as leverage in your daily workflow
- Can hold a Zoom with a CTO, a CMO, or a PE operating partner and be the most organized person in the room

- You're a project manager who avoids client-facing work — half this role is relationships
- You need a detailed playbook before you can make a judgment call
- We move fast, and ambiguity is part of the work
