About the role

Candidates must be commutable to either the Baltimore, MD or Pittsburgh, PA office. The Account Associate III serves as a key point of contact for WM's Small/Medium business customers, operating as part of a team-based queue and focusing on retaining and growing the team's book of business.

Success in this role is achieved through sound retention strategies, effective negotiation skills, and alignment with WM's growth objectives, by maintaining a net positive business performance through preventing customer cancellations and securing updated contract agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates in a focused and compelling way that drives the thoughts and actions of customers, peers, and business partners.
  • Utilizes change management processes to meet the demands of the sales role.
  • Controls sales assignments by allocating necessary time to retention and acquisition goals, requirements, and opportunities.
  • Explores alternatives to reach mutually beneficial sales agreements that gain customers’ acceptance and commitment.
  • Contributes to individual and shared responsibilities in a team environment.
  • Navigates through multiple systems, sales tools, and processes ensuring accurate documentation when executing customer interactions.
  • Uses WM sales productivity software tools accurately and consistently (i.e. Salesforce.com/Customer Relationship Management and Pricing Tools.)
  • Manages complex customer demands and addresses escalated customer issues.
  • Supports existing customers outside of their designated market area when needed.
  • Conducts and supports peer coaching and training as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 2 years Experience as an WM Account Associate II. Preferred Qualifications are also available.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this hybrid position is $25.00-27.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
