Serves as lead worker for assigned group and provides advanced technical skills necessary to perform accessioning procedures.
- Accession patient samples into the Laboratory Information System and distribute to technical departments for analysis.
- Prepare samples for testing, including centrifugation and special handling.
- Communicate with ordering personnel to clarify test orders and assist with order entry.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of accessioning principles, specimen integrity, and safety standards.
- Serve as resource for complex cases and assist with training and mentoring staff.
- Assist with scheduling, inventory management, and orientation checklists for new employees.
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.

What You Will Do
- Perform duties in the preanalytical phase of testing by preparing samples for testing and delivering them to laboratory departments.
Requirements
- A detail-oriented and dependable professional with strong leadership and technical skills.
- Three years of phlebotomy/accessioning experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, or 2 years of work experience.
- Demonstrated CRT/computer knowledge and ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and human relations skills.
Qualifications
