Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to content creators on accessible design and best practices to optimize user experience in web-based materials and other digital content.
  • Consult and assist the Client in remediation efforts on a wide range of digital public facing content, including web, documents, multimedia, forms, and enterprise systems.
  • Work within guidelines developed by Client Leadership to ensure the accessibility program aligns with compliance standards and best practices in optimizing user experience.
  • Participate in requirements analysis to align business needs with accessible design.
  • Affordability of development of operational procedures based on accessibility standards and established processes.
  • Provide technical guidance to content creators on accessible design and best practices to optimize user experience in web-based materials and other digital content.
  • Test public-facing content in conventional formats (Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint) and websites with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, Adobe Acrobat, PAC) and automated tools (axe, WAVE, WorldSpace) and advise on proper testing protocols.
  • Create detailed accessibility reports with actionable recommendations for the client.
  • Identify inaccessible content and/or other issues, then assist organization to support remediation efforts.
  • Provide training to internal teams to support accessible content creation for accessibility standards and tools. Develop supporting materials.
  • Conduct Office Hours to support content developers.
  • Create accessible templates to assist content creators in streamlining their processes.
  • Affordability with requests and inquiries related to digital accessibility from the public ensuring timely and effective responses.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in digital accessibility or related fields.
  • Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC).
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and ADA Title II.
  • Hands-on remediation experience with documents, web, and multimedia content.
  • Proficiency with accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structure through cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communications.
  • Commitment to improving access to digital services for diverse court users, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communications skills – both written and verbal. Ability to write and communicate with all levels of the client, including leadership.
