The Integrated Care Center Clinic is a federally qualified health center providing primary care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, psychiatry, dental care, and more to those most in need, including individuals suffering from homelessness, mental illness, substance use, and chronic medical conditions. We deliver team-based care in an integrated setting.

About the role

We are seeking a mission-driven service leader who thrives in a team environment, has experience managing and supporting staff, champions quality improvement, leads change, and is eager to innovate. This is a union-eligible position.

Access Coordinators support the agency’s day-to-day functions, including front desk intake/registration, scheduling, training interns and volunteers, and serving as a call receptionist for administrative and clinic departments.

Responsibilities

  • Clinic Intake Responsibilities:
    • Schedule medical clinic appointments and direct calls throughout the agency.
    • Assist with enrolling patients into the Healthy San Francisco (HSF) program.
    • Make follow-up calls for providers and confirm “next day’s appointments.”
    • Greet and provide customer service to patients, guests, clients, and vendors.
    • Communicate clearly on the phone and accurately take and deliver messages.
    • Work at other locations when needed.
  • Documentation Responsibilities:
    • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, data entry, and billing.
    • Assist in maintaining the computerized appointment system (Mysis) or other assigned systems.
    • Process patient/client data entry for various electronic systems in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360 guidelines to meet internal and external evaluation requirements.
  • Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Manage receipt and routing of agency mail (incoming and outgoing).
    • Assist and direct callers and visitors to appropriate employees and departments.
    • Operate a single or multiple-position telephone switchboard.
    • Work in a team-oriented environment.
    • Orient, train, and supervise volunteers on front desk responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in front desk reception, administrative, and/or customer service roles.
  • Experience working with staff and volunteers.
  • Preferred: 2 years’ experience in a medical front office setting, ideally in a community clinic with medical experience.
  • Preferred: MISYS and One-E-App experience (CAA Certified).
  • CPR certification and First Aid certification.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster required; exemptions are not accepted.
  • Must complete a background check and Live Scan.
