Access Controller (PT)

Responsibilities And Duties

• Confirm security status of all individuals entering the building and issue required badges.
• Report any irregularities or problems to the Site Manager for resolution.
• Update and maintain an accurate security clearance list when provided by authorities.
• During weekends, make hourly rounds of the facility.
• Be responsible for the cleanliness of the guard station.
• Willing to work any shift required, including weekend duty as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Site Manager or his designated representative.

Position Requirements

• CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, Active Interim Secret or Secret preferred.
• Must be computer literate and able to use and access basic computer programs (Microsoft products, Excel, PDF etc.).
• Must have mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must have physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb two (2) stairs.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Must present a professional appearance in dress and demeanor at all times.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of Military and Civilian personnel.
• Applicant must be a US Citizen, possess the ability to secure a US Passport.
• Subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
• A High School diploma or equivalent certification.

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
