About the role
Join our team of 500+ front-line security professionals ensuring that our nation’s most precious assets are protected. As a physical security specialist, you’ll play a critical role in workplace and mission security for a US intelligence community customer. We’re looking for individuals who are vigilant, trustworthy, and patient, with a passion for talking to people and educating them about policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access of employees and visitors in and out of restricted areas by verifying proper identification.
- Ensure prohibited and restricted items do not enter or exit the building.
- Provide directions and excellent customer service to employees and visitors.
- Work in a restricted mobile communication zone, requiring you to leave mobile devices at home or in your car.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and polygraph.
- Ability to work 1st (6:00am - 2:00pm ±1 hour), 2nd (2:00pm - 10:00pm ±1 hour), or 3rd (10:00pm - 6:00am ±1 hour) shifts, including one weekend shift per week, supporting 24/7 operations.
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing.
- High School diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Current residency on the island of Oahu.
- Fluency in reading, speaking, and understanding English.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform all specified duties and functions.
- 20/20 vision (correctable with glasses or contacts) and close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4 type test for both eyes.
- No color blindness.
- Normal fields of vision and good depth perception, as defined by the Snellen chart.
- Hearing correctable to normal level with hearing aids (pure tone audiometry hearing level of 0 decibels or lower).
Pay
$20.08–$30.25 per hour. The compensation range is a good-faith estimate and may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
