About the Role
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Access Control Specialist (ACS) to support secure facility operations across multiple locations for the FBI Operational Technology Division (OTD). This role involves managing visitor access control procedures, maintaining security protocols, and supporting daily security operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Staff visitor control desks during designated working hours.
- Verify clearances, conduct records checks, and enter visitor information into databases.
- Coordinate visitor notifications with designated personnel.
- Issue badges and identification credentials in accordance with established policies.
- Monitor and control facility access while adhering to strict security protocols.
- Perform database queries and data entry across multiple security systems.
- Support monthly database validation and verify contractor requirements.
- Process Limited Access Requests (LARs), including approvals, database updates, and documentation.
- Conduct visitor and property screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other equipment.
- Perform visual inspections when screening equipment is unavailable.
- Complete required equipment training, testing, and calibration.
- Monitor CCTV systems and report security concerns or suspicious activity.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a security-related field, such as industrial security, physical security, or computer/network security.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professionalism in all interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively, cross-train, and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Flexibility to adjust schedules or report to alternate locations with limited notice.
- Ability to maintain composure in a high-security environment.
- Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to mission support.
Schedule
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
Location
Must be able to relocate to Quantico, VA before starting work. This is an in-person role.
Pay
$50,000–$70,000 yearly salary.
