Full-time, non-exempt position located at 790 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.

About the role

Provide crisis intervention, screenings, assessments, and referral services for adults and children. Activities may take place in various settings and via face-to-face contact or telehealth (video or telephonic).

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with occasional weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation.

Pay

  • Bachelor’s degree: $26.04 - $34.52 per hour
  • Master’s degree: $27.49 - $36.44 per hour
  • $2 second-shift differential
  • $100 on-call rotation stipend

Responsibilities

  • Perform crisis intervention, screenings, assessments, and referrals for adults and children
  • Work in various settings, including in-person and telehealth (video or telephonic)
  • Handle stressful situations calmly and rationally
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Work effectively in a multicultural environment and bridge language/cultural barriers

Requirements

For Master’s degree candidates:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Licensure in Michigan as a licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR eligibility for a limited license with licensure obtained within three months of hire
  • Thorough knowledge of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis principles
  • Thorough knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job-related use
  • Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry

For Bachelor’s degree candidates:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
  • Licensure in Michigan as a licensed or limited licensed bachelor’s social worker; OR eligibility for a limited license with licensure obtained within three months of hire
  • Thorough knowledge of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis principles
  • Thorough knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job-related use
  • Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry

Preferred Qualifications

For Master’s degree candidates:

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) preferred
  • Credentialed through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals
  • Lived experience with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders valued

For Bachelor’s degree candidates:

  • Full licensure in Michigan as a licensed bachelor’s social worker
  • Lived experience with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders valued
