Access Associate (Full-time, Days)
About the role
This position requires a warm and inviting disposition, as you will be the first point of contact for our patients and their families. You will be responsible for many administrative support duties, such as greeting patients, performing check-in and check-out procedures, and processing payments.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Manage incoming calls while providing necessary information; greeting patients, providing direction as needed, and scheduling patient appointments
- Registration & Verification: Complete the registration process for patients as defined by departmental policy; verify insurance eligibility/coverage and obtain necessary precertification/authorization when applicable
- Billing & Payments: Collect and process payments when applicable
Requirements
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
A 2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred.
Qualifications
No specific licenses or certifications are required, but physical requirements include sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, with occasional walking or standing for brief periods.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $17.85 - $20.00 per hour, with the potential for additional pay components based on factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with every other weekend and holiday required.
