Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Mount hardware (cameras, sensors, panels) and run low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial).
- Carry out routine inspections, test system hardware, and perform software/firmware updates.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues between security devices, networks, and monitoring stations.
- Program access permissions, configure Cloud / Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and map camera views.
- Instruct facility staff and security personnel on how to use access control software and monitoring interfaces.
Other Requirements
- A 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in IP networking, low-voltage wiring, or electronic security.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and IP-based camera and cloud systems.
- Proficiency with industry-standard platforms (e.g., Avigilon, Genetec, Lenel, Axis, Ubiquiti, Verkada).
- Ability to travel frequently to field locations, including overnight trips.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to operate aerial lifts.
- Ability to work in tight spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Drivers License
Qualifications
A 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in IP networking, low-voltage wiring, or electronic security.
