An integral member of the Office of Access Management, partnering with ambulatory practices to optimize patient access to services and meet health-system goals.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain physician templates, visit types, and schedule blocks within the EHR in collaboration with access/revenue-cycle analysts, leaders, providers, and HITs.
  • Ensure adherence to template standards set by the Office of Access Management and seamless integration with enhancement technologies.
  • Process and manage practice requests for schedule changes.
  • Gather, compile, analyze, and present data and reports from multiple systems and departments (Ambulatory Operations, HIT, Revenue Cycle, Telecom, Analytics & Reporting).
  • Review dashboards, analyze data, and pull preset reports to identify access divergences, capacity-management issues, and appointment turnaround times.
  • Regulate decision-tree algorithms, scheduling policies, automated call-distribution systems, and appointment phone numbers/scripting.
  • Recommend improvements and provide feedback to specialties, Access Office leadership, and other partners to resolve issues.
  • Implement best practices based on leadership guidance and team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 3+ years of healthcare clinic operations with EHR scheduling workflows and/or revenue-cycle experience that included operational scheduling strategies, clinic throughput, and performance improvement.
  • Proficiency/certification in Cadence as recognized through EPIC or 7+ years of healthcare clinic operations with EHR scheduling workflows and/or revenue-cycle experience that included operational scheduling strategies, clinic throughput, and performance improvement.
  • EpicCare Ambulatory Certification (Epic Systems Corporation).
  • Maintain Cadence proficiency/certification throughout employment.
  • Advanced English—ability to read, write, and speak English.
