Location: Chidlaw Downtown Building in Colorado Springs, CO. Active Department of Defense Secret clearance required. Day shift; no remote or relocation assistance available.

About the role

Support policy development and decision-making related to the organization's cybersecurity framework by identifying potential cybersecurity risks, effectively communicating concerns, and recommending solutions to enhance security measures within the strategic plan. Maintain and improve the organization's Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) infrastructure, ensuring the implementation and ongoing operation of security systems and protocols that safeguard critical information technology resources for NORAD on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Responsibilities

  • Review and implement security strategies for hardware, software, and network platforms, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and potential intrusions that could compromise sensitive data or systems.
  • Generate and deliver detailed reports on ACAS compliance, cybersecurity posture, and system performance to senior leadership and key stakeholders in IT and security teams.
  • Act as a central point of knowledge-sharing and communication, providing training and awareness programs on the organization's security protocols, ensuring a consistent understanding of best practices across teams.
  • Conduct assessments of existing cybersecurity protocols within ACAS systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary upgrades or new solutions to strengthen the organization's cybersecurity defenses.
  • Proactively perform risk assessments of current network hardware, software, and data delivery mechanisms to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and ensure the security and stability of the organization's infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
  • 2 years or more of directly related experience.
  • 4 years or more of general work experience.
  • Experience setting up, performing, and analyzing vulnerability scans with Tenable.
  • Knowledge of information technology systems security software, hardware, cloud, and server-client suites.
  • Must meet requirements outlined in DoDM 8140.03 for System Administrator (451).

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct continuous assessments of network security measures, identify possible risks, and provide risk prevention and mitigation.

Pay

$90,000–$105,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and certifications directly related to the position.
