About the role
Proximity Learning is looking for Academic Tutors to support students in grades K-12. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a proven track record of success with young learners.
Responsibilities
- Tutoring Elementary & HS level students
- Teaching math, grammar, and reading using Khan Academy, Moby Max and iReady software
- Training is available
- Supervising students as an authority figure or “managing” student groups
- Record-keeping and documentation of students' attendance and academic performance
Requirements
- Covid-19 vaccination
- A driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Be at least 20 years of age
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preference for candidates with at least two years of study at an institution of higher education)
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- At least one year of youth camp experience, early childhood education, or related experience in roles such as: College Tutor or TA, coach or mentor, camp counselor or youth activity leader
Starting Pay Range
$30/hr. (part time and full time roles available)

Qualifications
- Candidate’s hiring is contingent upon the successful completion and passing of a national criminal background check (as required by school districts and departments of education)
