About the role
The Academic Tutor (Physics) will deliver high-quality education within the Science team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality physics education to students at the University of Sheffield International College.
- Support students in understanding complex scientific concepts.
- Assist in developing and maintaining study materials and resources.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Science team to discuss teaching strategies and student progress.
Requirements
- PhD in Physics or closely related field.
- Proven experience in teaching physics at the university level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Physics.
- Experience in educational settings, preferably in higher education.
- Knowledge of current pedagogical methods and best practices in physics education.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
