Academic Services Intern
About the role
The University of Georgia, a Division I member of the Southeastern Conference, is currently seeking applications for the position of Academic Services Intern. The position is an 11-month appointment beginning in July 2026 and ending in May 2027.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Academic Services Team with daily operations and related administrative tasks of the UGAAA tutoring program (50%)
- Assist the Associate Director of Academic Services with executive tasks (30%)
- Oversee the Rankin Support Staff Council (10%)
- Other duties as assigned (10%)
Requirements
- Master’s degree or progress towards a Master’s degree preferably in Education, Higher Education, Psychology, Sport Management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree or progress towards a Master’s degree preferred in Education, Higher Education, Psychology, Sport Management, or a related field.
- Experience in collegiate athletics academic support, higher education, teaching, or related field.
- Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree or progress towards a Master’s degree preferred in Education, Higher Education, Psychology, Sport Management, or a related field. Experience in collegiate athletics academic support, higher education, teaching, or related field. Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job; the employee will stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally sit and talk or hear, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Driving as needed to perform job duties.
