About the role
As a Clinical Biochemical Geneticist at MO-SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in Saint Louis, MO, you will provide comprehensive biochemical genetic evaluations to children and adolescents with complex metabolic disorders.Responsibilities
- Conducting detailed biochemical and genetic assessments on patients to diagnose rare metabolic disorders.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including pediatricians, geneticists, and other specialists to develop treatment plans.
- Participating in research projects related to metabolic disorders.
- Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows about biochemical genetics.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Pediatrics or a related field.
- Board certification in Pediatrics or a related specialty.
- Experience in clinical biochemical genetics is preferred but not required.
