Academic Physician - MD/DO - Allergist and Immunologist

About the Role

Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Allergist/Immunologist to join a multidisciplinary academic division focused on advancing Allergy & Immunology care, research, and education. The position involves outpatient clinical practice, supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students, and opportunities for clinical research and quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality outpatient care for adult and adolescent patients with allergic and immunologic conditions
  • Diagnose and manage conditions such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, atopic dermatitis, drug allergy, anaphylaxis, and primary immunodeficiencies
  • Perform allergy testing and guide advanced immunotherapy treatments
  • Participate in teaching activities and contribute to scholarly efforts including research and educational innovation
  • Collaborate with departments like Pulmonology, ENT, Dermatology, and Rheumatology
  • Support program development and participate in shared call duties

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Allergy & Immunology
  • Board certification or eligibility in Allergy & Immunology
  • Eligibility for Missouri medical licensure
  • Interest in academic practice, teaching, and research
  • Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care

Faculty appointment levels are based on experience and scholarly achievements, with a focus on clinical excellence, teaching, and research within a major academic health system.
