About the role

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek Gastroenterologists (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). Successful candidates will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV and Fairmont, WV.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the areas of gastroenterology and hepatology.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Achieve active involvement in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license.
  • Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency program and gastroenterology fellowship and be board eligible/board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Skills

We offer treatment to those in West Virginia as well as patients from five border states. There is a culture of professionalism and cooperation within the Department of Medicine. The growing Section of Digestive Diseases offers opportunities to build and design programs within a large referral academic center.
