Randstad Student & Worker Support are looking for reliable and committed Academic Notetakers to work with students within Dorset. You will provide an essential service to students with disabilities by attending lectures and seminars, taking accurate notes for those who find it difficult to do so themselves.
About the role
- Start Date: September 2026 (for the new 2026/2027 Academic Year)
- Location: Dorset
- You will attend various lectures and seminars, taking accurate notes for students with disabilities or mental health conditions.

Responsibilities
- Provide note-taking support to students with disabilities or mental health conditions.
- Produce accurate and legible handwritten notes for lectures, seminars, tutorials, and group tasks.
- Review notes at the end of each lecture to ensure they are in a suitable format for the student.
- Maintain a professional relationship with the student at all times.
- Act in the best interests of learners while adhering to institutional policies and procedures.
- Work closely with Randstad to address any concerns regarding individual student needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and share relevant information with Randstad to ensure the best possible service.
Requirements
- Neat handwriting—able to produce legible and presentable notes.
- Good typing skills.
- Accurate spelling and grammar skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to work quickly and under time restrictions.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ideally, experience working with individuals with specific learning difficulties in higher or further education.
