About the Role
The Division Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology will provide strategic, clinical, academic, and administrative leadership for a growing division. This position is critical to the creation and advancement of a comprehensive Gastroenterology Academic Center, integrating excellence in clinical care, education, and research.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of research, education, and clinical service
- Build and strengthen specialized clinical and academic programs
- Provide a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to digestive health
- Teach the art and science of gastroenterology to highly motivated and accomplished internists
- Utilize cutting-edge technology, advanced research, and effective patient education to provide the best possible care to patients
- Offer six lines of service including advanced and therapeutic endoscopy, colorectal cancer screening, liver diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, neuromuscular and swallowing disorders, and nutritional sciences
Requirements
- MD/DO
- BC in Gastroenterology
- Demonstrated record of success in scholarship and patient care
- Aptitude for collaboration, innovation, and program development
- Experience in Academic Medicine and leadership
- Commitment to continuous development and growth of clinical services, clinical teaching activities, and research
