About the role
The new ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital, a 144-bed facility, is home to 24 inpatient beds dedicated to the mental health needs of children and adolescents. This opportunity involves providing inpatient care at the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient care for children and adolescents at the new ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital.
- Participate in teaching medical students and/or residents.
- Conduct research as desired.
- Have oversight for up to 2 residents on the unit with a capacity maximum of 24 beds.
- Work in a 7 on 7 off schedule from 7am-7pm.
- Referral network includes 29 county service area with a population of 1.4 million people.
Requirements
- Fellowship trained BE/BC Child Adolescent Psychiatrist.
- Eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
- New graduates and 2027 Visa candidates are welcome to apply.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited ACGME/ACGME-approved child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship program.
- Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina.
