About the role

SUNY Upstate Medical University's Department of Radiology is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Chest Radiologist to join a thriving multi-specialty academic practice with instant partnership at one of New York's premier academic medical centers. J1 waiver sponsorship is available. ABR Alternate pathway candidates considered.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive chest imaging including radiography, CT, and MRI
  • Utilize advanced techniques including high-resolution CT, CT angiography, and lung nodule protocols
  • Collaborate with thoracic surgery, pulmonary medicine, and oncology
  • Participate in high-volume lung cancer screening and staging at the Comprehensive Cancer Center
  • Handle diverse chest trauma imaging as part of a Level I Trauma Center
  • Train and mentor residents and medical students

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiology
  • ABR Alternate pathway candidates considered
  • Eligible for J-1 waiver/H-1B visa sponsorship (available)
