We are seeking a highly motivated registered nurse for the role of pulmonary procedure nurse in our Adult Ambulatory Pulmonary Procedure Suite. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized academic pulmonary division that cares for inpatients and outpatients needing specialized procedures, with an interdisciplinary team specializing in the care of pulmonary patients undergoing moderate sedation and general anesthesia interventional bronchoscopies.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of leadership, accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
- Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
- Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
- Performs pre‑procedure work‑up, intra‑procedure management, and post‑procedure recovery and discharge for patients undergoing moderate sedation and general anesthesia interventional bronchoscopies.
- Works with a nationally recognized academic pulmonary division caring for inpatients and outpatients needing specialized pulmonary procedures.
Requirements
- RN license and BSN required.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities utilized daily in patient care.
- Competence in the delivery of nursing care modalities.
- Critical care experience preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
Pay
Compensation range: $38.76 – $52.33 per hour. Individual hourly rates will be set within this range based on market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise
