About the role
ING continues to build its Fixed Income product offering with a clear focus on Asset-Back Securities (“ABS”). As such, it is looking to add a syndicate professional with ample US experience in ABS – both esoteric and flow. His/her primary role is to help lead, in collaboration with other stakeholders, the build-out of the ABS business within ING.
As part of a larger multi-product syndicate desk, strong Investment Grade, FIG, or High Yield experience is important to complement, lead or assist in the execution of trades in these other product types.
Responsibilities
- Lead and help orchestrate the growth of the US$ ABS business: work with sales, investors, issuers, originators & structurers as well as ING’s upper management to this effect.
- Complement, lead or assist in the execution of trades in other asset classes.
- Provide support to Global Capital Markets across the asset classes covered by the desk: Corporate IG, FIG, High Yield, Emerging Markets and Project bonds.
- Aid in all aspects pertaining the ongoing functioning and growth of the desk.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Qualifications / Education:
- Minimum of a BA/BS
- 6+ years of experience in ABS
- Minimum of 2 years complementary experience in other asset classes (IG, FIG or HY)
- Series 7, 79 and 63 required
- MBA or CFA (desirable)
- Experience/Knowledge:
- You are an experienced, self-motivated individual capable of both independent activity and working in a team.
- You have extensive product knowledge, technical expertise and strong transaction execution skills in the US ABS market.
- You possess superior client relationship, marketing presentation, communication and sales skills in addition to deep understanding of products and markets.
- You are proficient in the use of:
- MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Issue net and similar book builders

Pay
$230,000-$270,000
The salary range listed reflects base salary only. This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
