About the role

Responsibilities

- Creates an inclusive environment, addressing patients' personal preferences and cultural backgrounds in their care.
- Participates in hospital committees and actively seeks opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Functions as a preceptor for new staff members, sharing expertise and best practices.
Requirements
A specialized diploma from an accredited nursing program is required. Experience as an RN in an acute care setting is preferred, but not mandatory. Active RN license in the state of practice is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or completion of a BSN program within 3 years of hire is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient-and-family-centered care principles and cultural awareness.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to engage patients and their care partners in their health care.
- Experience in assessing patients, implementing care plans, and educating patients and their care partners.
- Understanding of medication administration and discharge planning.
- Knowledge of health information documentation and the ability to document medical histories and treatments accurately.
