About the Role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The ideal candidate should be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in an ACGME-approved abdominal imaging fellowship program.
Responsibilities
- Daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences.
- Participation in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties.
- Medical student education for those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.
- Preparation of learning materials, lectures, teaching posters, and presentations for national review.
- Interpretation of Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopy of the body.
- Participation in the Abdominal Imaging off-hour on-call program, including evenings, nights, and weekend coverage.
Prior experience in image-guided biopsy is highly desirable but not required.
About the Work Environment
Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (PAVMC), as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
