ABA Therapist Part Time

About the role

Damar is looking for passionate people with or without experience as an ABA Therapist. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) uses techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior. Our ABA Therapists follow ABA therapy techniques in specialized, client-based sessions to achieve goals outlined in each client's behavior plan. Responsibilities include verbal behavior, behavior modification, treatment plan implementation, data collection, and intervention.

You will work with clients at one of our three clinics in the Indianapolis area: Avon, Southwest Indianapolis (near the airport), or Northeast Indianapolis (Fall Creek).

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Pay

Starting pay: $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to children diagnosed with Autism in an ABA setting using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
• Maintain neat, chronological documentation of all goals and behaviors
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary
• Interact professionally with parents, school, medical personnel, and others using excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Keep abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations
• Ensure the agency meets its quality improvement, evaluation, and reporting requirements
• Respect the culture, diversity, and rights of all clients, their families, and the community

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must be flexible and willing to work at any of the Damar ABA clinics
• Ability to pass and maintain Critical Moments Training (CMT) Certification
• Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification
• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred; must obtain RBT certification within 60 days of hire
• Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier
• No felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
