About the role
Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented and maintained, ensuring regular collection of quantifiable data to evaluate behavior plans and achieve individual goals. Supports ongoing program oversight and collaborates with management staff and Direct Support Professionals.
Essential Duties
Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
Responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting routine meetings with management staff and Direct Support Professionals.
Maintains availability to respond to the needs of the persons we serve, providing consultation and on-site assistance to behavior crisis situations.
Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by Director of Behavioral Services.
Adheres to AbleLight’s standard for the documentation of services.
Maintains assigned consultation and caregiver education hours while accurately documenting activities within Central Reach.
Develops/writes comprehensive reports documenting behavioral recommendations for guardians, caregivers and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner as requested by assigned BCBA and/or Director of Behavioral Services.
Meets regularly with assigned BCBA and Director of Behavioral Services.
Immediately notifies on issues impacting people we serve regarding their progress and satisfaction.
Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
Leadership
As a role model for behavior technicians and RBTs, aligns the passion and talents of others to serve the people we support by actively developing others, empowering teams, promoting collaboration, removing barriers, and showing recognition and appreciation all to attract and retain top talent.
Training and Development
Teaches management staff and DSPs on the proper implementation of reinforcement, initiative-taking and preventative behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
Conducts regular caregiver and/or staff training and consultation.
Professional Development
Participates in professional meetings or conferences as required by the director of behavioral services and as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or by state rules and regulations to maintain certification, licensure and/or status as a provider.
Maintain any required training to include any necessary crisis management procedures in the behavior plans as needed.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities for Success in the Role
Knowledge and understanding of the science of behavior analysis and behavior analytic therapies.
Ability to work effectively and influence the work of project resources with multi-disciplinary project teams for whom you do not have direct supervisory responsibility and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, as well as in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and industry standard productivity applications and project management software.
Effective communication (written/oral), presentation skills, and professional presence.
A willingness to learn and grow in a flexible environment.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services (or related major)
Continuous enrollment in a BACB approved Master’s ABA program until graduation.
Experience: 1 years’ supporting individuals with lifelong disabilities. 1 years’ knowledge of functional behavior assessment design, behavior support plans design, program/goal development, behavior reduction and skills acquisition procedures and staff training preferred.
Licenses or Certificates: Maintain all requirements for supervision status according to the BACB and institution providing coursework. Have an RBT certification or must be willing to obtain an RBT certification within 45 days of hire.
Other: Ability to work irregular hours as needed. Local travel, up to 25% of time.
