About the role
As a A220 Heavy Maintenance Project Specialist you work as a project manager supporting Maintenance Centers and Airlines A220 c-check activity. You will be responsible for the complete customer order handling process for c-check part requirements and coordinate a multi functional team to collaborate and work towards expediting and delivering all parts on-time. You will also lead customer meetings while presenting to customers the c-check orders status, addressing concerns and aligning on priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare, lead and steer internal MFT and customer meetings
- Maintain C-check file and ensure all relevant information is available
- Responsible for C-Check file related external and internal stakeholder communication (Customer Order View, Reporting File)
- Ensure all functions have performed their required checklists, incl. their own
- Measures, analyses and utilizes key performance indicators (KPIs) on behalf of the group in order to manage material order activity
- Ownership for C-Check project and its order lines
- Perform Heavy Maintenance Manager C-Check Checklist
- Open technical support cases with Airbus Canada (e.g. PN Activation, interchangeability, etc.)
- Clarifies technical queries utilizing technical documentation and/or liaises with technical and engineering departments
- Provides consistently high quality responses to all customer related requests for all materials and related services to ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Preferably equipped with a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, OR a combination of education and relevant experience
- 3+ years experience working in the aviation industry
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and/or airline operations is highly desirable
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace and skilled in basic IT tools
- Authorized to Work in the U.S. without current or future need for visa sponsorship
Physical Requirements
- On-site role
- Able to carry up to 30 pounds on an intermittent basis
- Corrected hearing able to respond to emergency alarms, alerts and warnings; ability to hear via telephone, teleconference, and work-related conversations
- Able to push and pull items in the workplace
- Able to sit and work in front of a computer or other machine for extended periods of time
- Able to squat and kneel as needed to retrieve or place items on low shelving
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Physical requirements similar to that of a moderate activity job
Note: This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
