About the role

The Associate Accountant is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a career in accounting and finance. Under direct supervision, the selected candidate will learn the company's financial and accounting systems, processes, policies, and procedures while supporting day-to-day accounting activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain basic account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including consolidations and eliminations as needed.
• Research and resolve routine accounting issues and transactions.
• Gather and analyze financial information to support reporting requirements.
• Develop an understanding of the company's organizational structure, accounting processes, and financial reporting practices.
• Aid with financial analysis and reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Gain exposure to multiple aspects of accounting through on-the-job training and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; or
• Bachelor's degree in another discipline with a minimum of 18 credit hours in Accounting.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and applicable country-specific accounting principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.

Experience

No prior accounting experience is required. This is a developmental role intended to provide broad exposure to accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
