A&P Mechanic III

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace various airframe and powerplant components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Airbus H160 helicopter systems.
• Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting on Safran Arrano 1A engines in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Responsible for performing progressive, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar scheduled inspections according to FAA regulations and applicable technical publications.
• Ensure all maintenance is properly performed and documented in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM maintenance manuals, quality assurance requirements, and company policies and procedures.
• Perform functional checks of fuel, hydraulic, engine, rotor, flight control, avionics, and environmental systems in a timely manner.
• Perform engine runs and return-to-service procedures in accordance with approved data and maintenance manuals.
• Complete diagnostics and troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft systems and subsystems; maintain aircraft technical publications, logbooks, and maintenance records.
• Read and interpret mechanical manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fully certified as an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic.
• At least 2-5 years of rotary wing A&P experience.
• Safran Arrano 1A engine certification required.
• Experience performing turbine engine and rotorcraft maintenance preferred.
• Must be able to lift parts and equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Company.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and OEM technical publications.
• Ability to perform routine and complex maintenance tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in aircraft systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
