A&P Mechanic (Experienced) - Miami, FL

Join our Maintenance Team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and become part of a dedicated group supporting Bell customers at our OEM Facility. In this role, you’ll work in a “one stop shop” for commercial rotorcraft services, handling everything from small avionics upgrades to complete aircraft rebuilds.

About the role

Starting base pay is $37.10/hr. Highly qualified candidates with extensive industry-specific experience may be eligible for a higher starting wage.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes and engines in accordance with FAA 145 requirements.
• Perform major sheet metal repairs and fabricate sheet metal and composite parts when needed.
• Install kits and assist with fly-offs.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with instructions, regulatory requirements, and company policies, and properly document all work performed.

Requirements

• FAA A&P Certificate.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• 4 years of experience with helicopter maintenance.
• Maintenance experience with Bell helicopters (such as 429, 505, 407, 206) is preferred.
• Experience in a part 145 environment is preferred.
• Technical expertise and basic computer skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and exercise strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Demonstrated self-motivation, strong sense of responsibility, and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to successfully collaborate and coordinate with others, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions closely with good organization skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders, and work stands.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
• Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
• Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
• Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
