Responsibilities

  • Aid in aircraft jacking and towing operations.
  • Access and remove/install panel components.
  • Lubricate aircraft components.
  • Assist in engine inspections and routine maintenance.
  • Participate in structural repairs and modifications.
  • Document maintenance actions according to regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Understand and use MM manuals and company paperwork such as removals and squawk sign-offs.
  • Use standard and specialized tools for aircraft maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance environment.
  • Engage in continuous learning about new aircraft technologies and maintenance techniques.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Education to meet licenses required (see below).
  • Experience with Cessna and Beech model aircraft.
  • Must possess and maintain a current and valid A&P license.
  • Must meet the requirements of the Airport Authority to receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and speak English.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other personnel.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Skills

  • Basic computer aptitude.
  • Physical ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotating, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, and frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequent exposure to general shop conditions, engine noise, aircraft exhaust, moving mechanical parts, lubricants, metals, and solvents.
  • Frequent exposure to seasonal weather.
