Responsibilities
- Aid in aircraft jacking and towing operations.
- Access and remove/install panel components.
- Lubricate aircraft components.
- Assist in engine inspections and routine maintenance.
- Participate in structural repairs and modifications.
- Document maintenance actions according to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Understand and use MM manuals and company paperwork such as removals and squawk sign-offs.
- Use standard and specialized tools for aircraft maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance environment.
- Engage in continuous learning about new aircraft technologies and maintenance techniques.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Education to meet licenses required (see below).
- Experience with Cessna and Beech model aircraft.
- Must possess and maintain a current and valid A&P license.
- Must meet the requirements of the Airport Authority to receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read and speak English.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other personnel.
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Skills
- Basic computer aptitude.
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotating, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, and frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
- Frequent exposure to general shop conditions, engine noise, aircraft exhaust, moving mechanical parts, lubricants, metals, and solvents.
- Frequent exposure to seasonal weather.
