Essential Job Functions And Key Responsibilities

  • Perform or assist in general checks such as preflight and postflight inspections
  • Tow or manually push/pull aircraft and GSE with appropriate support equipment
  • Properly perform and document assigned maintenance and inspection tasks as required by MFC, the Director of Maintenance and in accordance with appropriate instructions and applicable FAA regulations
  • Remove, replace, rig and adjust components and assemblies with minimal assistance
  • Absorb and document relevant system drawings, schematics, electronic diagrams and other similar technical materials
  • Help maintain shop tooling and GSE in appropriate serviceable and calibrated condition
  • Work occasional overtime and be available to be placed in a rotating roster to respond promptly to aircraft maintenance needs while on call

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements: Be able to bend, kneel, squat, sit or stand for extended periods of time and be able to lift 75 lbs
  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, shoulders, and back
  • Comfortable using ladders, stands, and basic GSE equipment
  • Requires sufficient vision (corrected) and the ability to effectively and safely perform the essential functions of the position; ability to see colors, and the use of peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Some exposure to hazardous materials and conditions is likely
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by industry standards and MFC
  • Possess and maintain inventory of basic hand tools
  • Possess a current and valid Airframe & Powerplant certificate
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clear recent driving record

Preferred Other Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills include MS Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Three years experience working with turbine-powered rotor and/or fixed-wing aircraft
  • Part 135 field maintenance experience
  • Professional integrity and a commitment to maintaining safe and compliant aircraft
  • Detail-oriented and be able to work well with others to plan, troubleshoot, and problem solve
